Western Career College Students Provide Free Massages and More at Community Event
Juice Heights, California – April 28, 2009, Western Career College students will provide free massages, and conduct demonstrations in their career fields of dental help masseerterapie and veterinary technology at the 2nd Annual Senior Health Fair on Saturday, May 16th, 9 pm -1 hour in Fountain Square Rose Garden at 6237 Fountain Square Drive in Citrus Heights.
This year’s event, “rising to a Healthy Heights” includes 75 exhibitions dedicated to senior issues and concerns, as well as free health and vision screenings, informative submissions on topics such as fraud and identity theft prevent, and joint replacement. In addition, there will be exhibitors with prizes, musical entertainment and free tote bags and hand fans on the first 700 participants.
“Since our students involved with the Senior Health Fair is a win / win situation for the students, as well as the community they served, they will walk,” said Jim Murphy, executive director of the Western Career Juice Heights College campus. “We are pleased to be part of this community outreach event.”
The Citrus Heights campus offers nine to 24 months leading to diplomas or associate degrees in dental assistance, health care administration, masseerterapie, medical assistance, pharmacy technology, surgical technology, ultrasound technology, veterinary technology and the criminal justice system.
